Tom is one of those guys who would literally do anything for you–he’d give you his kidney if you needed it! When you talk with him, you get this sense that he is truly listening to you and he always gives you great feedback. Susan is also an amazing giver and expects nothing in return. She is so sweet and kind and together they make an awesome couple. They always seem to make the best out of any situation–as Tom always says, “the silver lining, my friends.”

I am incredibly excited to be their photographer for their wedding but even more happy just to be their friends. I met them through Lindsay. Susan and her share the same passion for education and taught at the same elementary school.

For their engagement shoot they really wanted to harness a piece of the city they love so much, Portland, and it’s sustainable culture. So where better place to go but to the Portland farmer’s market! We had a blast! Cheers guys, I’ll see you for dinner next week!

Elysha was an incredibly beautiful bride and Buddy is like the hulk. Serious. That guy is pretty ripped but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Together they make an amazing couple and their kids are going to be models. Their wedding was a tight group of family and I think they had everyone in tears at one point or another. With the guys jumping for their formal photos and the girls jumping on the bed, a dip kiss, a game of family feud, “bride vs groom” during the reception and a soul train made for one memorable night. Thanks guys for letting me feel so welcome and apart of the close bond you all had with everyone.

Cheers!

Always looking for new and creative ways to do ring shots. Here is one that is lit by an iphone–not even my iphone. I borrowed it from a guest!
