photo by danielMike and Esther were married at the quaint and romantic Wine Country Farm in little Dayton, Oregon. The day began with a bustling getting ready time where Esther did her own makeup as her sisters and friends surrounded her.
Esther arrived to the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage, a surprise to most of the guests, and us! After exchanging their vows, the same carriage took the newlyweds into the vineyards for some private photo time.
Afterwards we were back at the farm where a reception of Esther and Mike’s closest friends and family continued with some truly touching toasts. Including one that featured some of Mike’s classic baby photos.
We loved being a part of this family affair and we thank Mike and Esther for welcoming us into their special event. Cheers.
More of Jaimie and Chris coming soon…

photo by danielJen and Jen, better known as Jen Squared, are two of the sweetest people we have ever met. Jen Hecht is a local photographer so when she approached us to photograph her wedding, we were completely honored. We like the Jens a lot because they remind us a little of our marriage. Two happy people who are friends, partners and utterly in love. It was an honor to be there and to document their celebration.
They got ready together at the boutique Hotel Modera in downtown Portland, along with some of their closest friends and family. As soon as we stepped in the door, we instantly felt like part of the wedding party. The ceremony was nestled between huge fur trees at the beautiful Hoyt Arboretum. Jen’s sister lead the processional with her bango playing Ingrid Michaelson’s song “You and I” and the energy was so infectious, it got everyone clapping and singing as Jen came down the aisle. From there, the emotions poured out and the partying continued well into the night with tacos from the famous Koi Fusion food cart, a custom photo booth that the Jens built themselves and some serious dancing in the basement of the Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center.
If you watch the slideshow here, you’ll catch Daniel getting in on the dancing action himself too.
