It was great to be able to do Brenna and Trevyn’s engagement shoot in one of my favorite towns, Bend, Oregon. We spent our time at Drake Park, a beautiful stretch along the Deschutes river, right in the heart of town. It was a fun time photographing them, as Trevyn was all smiles and laughs the entire shoot and Brenna has the most beautiful blue eyes that just pop in every photo. Needless to say, together they make an awesome couple. We look forward to photographing your wedding in a couple of weeks!

Lovely! The last one in my favorite, if it's really fair to choose! They're all great. (08.10.2010 08:33pm)

Thank you so much for the nice comments Daniel! It was a wonderful experience with you and we are so grateful you took time out of your vacation to do our shoot! You are an amazing talent and we look forward to seeing you again soon! (08.11.2010 04:52am)

These are so awesome and creative... I like the different angles. I really enjoyed the sunburst through the tree shot and the photo with the little girl. Great Job! (08.18.2010 09:48pm)

I believe that facebook and twitter have done wonders to reconnect with old friends and I am so glad Natasha found me on there. Because we go way back–high school way back.  And it’s been ten years since we graduated. It’s really great to see her so happy and with an awesome guy, Jim. I had a fun time taking their photos and reminiscing about old times.  I am really excited to see what the next ten years will bring them! Cheers you guys! And go EAGLES! ;-)

  • Natasha:

I LOVE THEM! I can't wait for you to capture the big day. It'll be how we remember that day forever. Don't know if I told you this but when we started planning the wedding I told Jim that having you as our photographer was the one thing that was non-negotiable. By looking at our picture he now knows why! (06.10.2010 03:46pm)

  • Aubrie:

Killer shots Daniel! I love the first one where they are laying down (hard to capture laying down shots) and I really like the close-up and the last black and white photo too. Nice work! (06.10.2010 04:25pm)

  • Magnus:

Beautiful captures! Love how you communicate the sense of scale. (06.11.2010 03:39pm)

Love the backdrop of Peninsula Park! So pretty! The flowers in the forefront is one of my faves! (06.16.2010 04:18pm)

You know those couples who are just so in love with each other it’s as if no else exists? Well that is Linh and Michael. You can just feel the love when you’re with them and it was cute how excited they were for their e-shoot. We started out in downtown Portland at Pioneer Courthouse Square and worked our way from there.  We even got ourselves kicked out of a parking garage–it was quite an adventure.  And it turns out Linh’s dad is an aspiring photographer and it was fun as he tagged along with us.

We’ll see you two lovebirds soon!

Tom is one of those guys who would literally do anything for you–he’d give you his kidney if you needed it! When you talk with him, you get this sense that he is truly listening to you and he always gives you great feedback. Susan is also an amazing giver and expects nothing in return. She is so sweet and kind and together they make an awesome couple. They always seem to make the best out of any situation–as Tom always says, “the silver lining, my friends.”

I am incredibly excited to be their photographer for their wedding but even more happy just to be their friends. I met them through Lindsay. Susan and her share the same passion for education and taught at the same elementary school.

For their engagement shoot they really wanted to harness a piece of the city they love so much, Portland, and it’s sustainable culture. So where better place to go but to the Portland farmer’s market! We had a blast! Cheers guys, I’ll see you for dinner next week!
